JESUS COLLEGE
EXTENSION
2019
This architectural extension of Jesus College in Oxford blends tradition with modernity—honoring the classic collegiate layout while creating vibrant public spaces for learning and living.
Street-level shops lead to a separate shopping basement, while the open ground floor connects seamlessly to a central courtyard. A wide external stair provides access to the college and links it with the Fellows Garden, balancing openness and privacy through separate entrances for the public and for students.
Modern cladding reinterprets historic elements, offering a fresh and inviting take on the college’s architectural heritage.
