WORKSHOP - HEIDULF GERNGROSS -

In a workshop held in collaboration with Austrian architect Heidulf Gerngross, new approaches were explored to translate the shape of the “Archiquant” into multifunctional furniture.

The Archiquant is a geometric figure defined by a width equal to its radius, and a depth corresponding to the Golden Ratio of that width.

The prototype furniture set includes:

  • 2 Archiquant-shaped panels with T-shaped cutouts

  • 4 longer boards with two holes (seat and table height)

  • 4 shorter boards with one hole (seat height)

  • 12 wooden rods

With these components, a stool and a table can be built individually.

When combined, the elements allow for countless configurations—ranging from shelving units to hybrid seating-table setups. The T-shaped cutouts enable stable interlocking, enhancing structural strength through clever arrangement.
